We’re excited to announce the release of Momentum 2.1.0 Build 2255.
This update introduces workflow improvements, enhanced release behavior, browser state memory, and several important bug fixes focused on stability and sample handling.
Features
Group Renaming Added
Groups can now be renamed by simply double-clicking the group name.
Release Knob Updated
The Release control has been updated for more consistent and musical behavior.
• Release now behaves as a fixed time value triggered by MIDI note off, instead of scaling relative to slice length.
• A Release setting of 100% now plays the entire slice without a volume fade and ignores MIDI note off, providing latch-style playback behavior.
Duplicate Sample Behavior Updated
Sample duplication behavior has been streamlined for faster editing workflows.
• Dragging a sample from Groups + Samples now defaults to:
“Duplicate Sample with Edits”
• OPTION-drag now performs:
“Duplicate Sample”
without carrying over edits.
Browser and My Files Improvements
Browser navigation now remembers:
• Scroll position
• Folder open/closed state
This state is retained when navigating away and returning later.
Bug Fixes
• Fixed an issue where the Clear function could retain prior sample playback and slice effect states after reloading the same sample.
• Fixed a plugin crash that could occur after clearing all slices and then adding a new slice by double-clicking the waveform in the Slice tab.
• Fixed a slice effect recall issue where previous effect settings could silently return after using Clear and reloading the same sample.
• Fixed inconsistent Clear behavior so instrument state now resets properly without retaining hidden sample edit data.
