Purple Drizzle XXL climbed into the top spot for loop products in the month of April. This massive collection of 55 construction kits from hard hitting hip hop to laid back R&B is available in Big Fish Audio’s exclusive KLI format. Also among the top sellers for loops in April was Acoustic Indie Pop, an 11.3 GB collection of contemporary songwriting styles such as John Mayer, Ray Lamontagne, Jack Johnson and more. The Big Fish Audio KLI Series has been a big success. We wanted to make sure we keep moving forward with this series and continue to bring new innovation to it. So we would like to introduce KLI 2.0
We’ve updated the KLI products with some new features and a new look. Here’s what to look for in the 2.0 update.
– Kontakt 5 support
-Kontakt 5 utilizes the new Time Machine Pro and it has far superior time stretching abilities than previous versions of Kontakt
-Kontakt 5 also utilizes many new outstanding FX
-Both Kontakt versions four and five have a new key change feature in the kit combos allowing you to adjust only certain elements of the kit and not others. This is useful if you would like to change the key of the kit but not change the pitch of the drums.
-The Sliced Loops now have a double time and half time feature allowing you to use the loops in drastically different tempos.
-Updated interface graphics
All new KLI products have been created with the 2.o update and in kontakt 4 and 5 however only a select group of previously released products have been updated to 2.0.

This product is part of Big Fish Audio’s KLI series which includes a custom Kontakt interface. The Kontakt format includes patches of each sample and loop. Customize each loop with the “sliced loops” patches. The Sliced Loop patches lay out each individual slice of a loop across the keyboard, making it easy to create new and original custom parts. The “Kit Combos” allow you to arrange full construction kits quickly and easily with a custom mixer and a host of included fx. Finally, all drum hits have been included in patches of drum menus and drum kits. Create, arrange, tweak, and mix all within the Kontakt format.
The KLI version of this product comes in both Kontakt 4 and Kontakt 5 versions. For those with the full version of Kontakt 5, take advantage of the new high quality and extremely flexible new time stretching algorithm as well as a bunch of new included FX.
Sometimes you have to be a little different to get noticed. If you do the same old thing and sound like everybody else it can be a struggle to make it to the top. This month I want to look at a couple of libraries that are a little “different” from your standard loop libraries.
Quirky Guitar Vol.1 and Quirky Guitar Vol.2 are two of our most unique and original libraries. These loops feature but are not limited to guitars. You’ll also find glockenspiels, bells, music boxes, pianos, hand claps, and a few other “bells & whistles”. The mood of these libraries is light and playful while still containing content to create some series musical pieces. You may be reminded of some indie singer songwriter artists such as, Feist, Ingrid Michaelson, Lenka, and the like.
