Vintage Horns is a horn section virtual instrument ReFill for Reason 6 that gives you every instrument you need to emulate the classic horn section sounds of R&B, Soul, and Funk bands from the 60’s and 70s.
As with its sister product, Vintage VI, the goal for Vintage Horns was not to create a shiny, perfect-sounding virtual instrument. Instead, we tried to capture the way horn sections sounded back in the 60s and 70s, including the minor imperfections that added character to those sections and made them sound so good.

This product is part of Big Fish Audio’s KLI series which includes a custom Kontakt interface. The Kontakt format includes patches of each sample and loop. Ambient Skyline 3 is split into two sections: “Loops” and One-Shots”. In the Loops section, Customize each loop with the “sliced loops” patches. The Sliced Loop patches lay out each individual slice of a loop across the keyboard, making it easy to create new and original custom parts. or create your own unique arrangements using the “loop menu” patches which lay out every loop of a particular section across the keyboard, giving you instant access to a plethora of sounds. The one shots section includes massive one-shot menu patches built from sections featuring 40-212 files. one shot atmospheres are pitched-mapped over 3 octaves for completely original atmospheric soundscapes.
The KLI version of this product has been updated to KLI 2.0 and comes in both Kontakt 4 and Kontakt 5 versions. For those with the full version of Kontakt 5, take advantage of the new high quality and extremely flexible new time stretching algorithm as well as a bunch of new included FX.
True Keys is a Piano Virtual Instrument. It was created by recording nearly 50,000 audio files using some of the best microphones and recording equipment available today. Then, the audio files are matched to their corresponding piano, note, microphone position and velocity to build an electronic version of the piano. Next, the audio files are loaded into a software playback device called an engine that runs on a sophisticated scripting language to mimic the natural sound and playability of a real piano.
Traditional keyboards that have piano sounds built-in are typically built from modeling or by using samples. Models are mathematical representations of sound much like a synthesizer. A modeled piano is essentially a very large math equation used to mimic the sound of a piano. Samples are based on real recordings of an instrument. True Keys is built using real audio samples in every aspect of the software. From the individual microphone positions to the samples sympathetic resonance. Everything you hear is real.
